What You Should Know Before Choosing a Convention Display

Trade shows are an investment that will more than pay for itself in just a couple shows. However, with hundreds of trade show displays to choose from, how do you know which one is right for you? These points should help you narrow down the display system that will work best for you and your audience.

What’s Your Goal?

As you prepare for your upcoming event, you should have a goal that answers the following questions:

  • Who is my target audience?
  • What’s message are you trying to convey?
  • What do you want to get out of the convention?

Having a specific goal set prior to the event is important, in order to know if it was accomplished.

Know Your Budget

Before you can even start looking at convention booths, you need to know how much you are able to spend. Luckily, trade show exhibits range in prices to fit every budget, costing as little as $100-200 and costing as much as $40,000.

How Much Space Are You Working With?

Having a clear idea of how big your booth space is an important element to deciding what trade show booth you will go for. It may be a little difficult to try to squeeze a 20 foot trade show booth into a 10 foot spot. If you have very limited room at the convention, you may want to consider banner stands because they take up very little room width-wise, yet can get as tall as 10 feet. If you have a vast amount of room, truss systems are a popular choice, since they have an open design and allow attendees to freely browse your convention exhibit without worrying about running into other booth visitors.

These three points will definitely get you on the right track of finding the booth display that is right for you. No matter what booth you decide to go with, having effective trade show graphics can definitely draw in a crowd. Keep your graphics simple, yet with enough information to let attendees know what you do.
